ANTALYA - Anatolia News Agency

Collective bargaining at Alanya's Alantur Hotel, which involved 160 employees, concluded positively yesterday.
Speaking to the Anatolia news agency, Cemalettin Kelten, Manavgat branch leader of the Hotel, Restaurant and Entertainment Workers Trade Union, or TOLEYİS, said they were content with the result.
The agreement, which will be in effect for two years, came five days ahead of a possible strike at the hotel. According to the deal, employees will receive an 11 to 14 percent wage increase in the first year. The second year's wage increase will be the same as the inflation rate. Kelten said employee benefits were also increased 10 percent, while travel rations were hiked 15 percent.
The demand by employees that they should work at least 180 days a year was also accepted. We have attained a pleasant result five days ahead of a possible strike and preserved peace at the work place, said Kelten.
With the agreement, workers of the hotel will receive a minimum of YTL 710 ($580) a month.
