Protest in front of Russian consulate
A group of Georgians living in Istanbul and members of the Georgian Cultural Center Association protested the conflict in South Ossetia in front of the Russian consulate Saturday. Association President Eşref Yılmaz said, “No reason could justify Russia's occupation of Georgia,” before departing with the group to visit Turkish journalist Levent Öztürk, who was wounded in the conflict.
