The water supply to some districts of Istanbul has been cut off due to valve installation and construction activity being conducted in order to integrate the Ömerli-Dudullu steel pipeline to the existing water pipeline system in the city. The cutoff, which started at midnight Tuesday, will last for 24 hours.
The Water and Sewerage Authority of Istanbul, or İSKİ, made a statement announcing which neighborhoods and districts would have water cutoffs. Below is a list of the affected areas:
Districts on the Asian side of the Bosporus: Kadıköy, Üsküdar, Ümraniye, Dudullu, Yenidoğan, Çekmeköy, Alemdağ, Sarıgazi, Taşdelen, Ataşehir, neighborhoods in upper parts of Beykoz district, Kavacık, and Acarkent.
Districts on the European side of the Bosporus: Eminönü, Fatih, Bayrampaşa, Güngören, Bakırköy, Zeytinburnu, and coastal parts of Beyoğlu, Beşiktaş and Sarıyer.
