Turkish Economy Minister Mehmet Simsek said it is too soon to talk about the details of an IMF program and that the government is working on a plan to meet the country's external financing needs.

"It is soon to disclose details on the content, financial size and the maturity of the possible IMF deal," Simsek told reporters at a news conference when asked about the media reports suggesting Turkey is close to cutting a deal with the fund for $20-40 billion.
Simsek also said the government is working on a program to meet the external financing needs of the country.
He declined to comment on Turkey's external financing needs for 2009.
