AMMAN - Eight people were killed and 21 injured yesterday when a bus and truck were in collision near the Jordanian capital, the civil defence department said

"A bus collided with a truck on a road, 35 kilometers (21 miles) south of Amman this morning, killing eight people and injuring 21," civil defence department spokesman Colonel Farid Sharaa told AFP. "We are still investigating the accident to determine the causes."
