ISTANBUL – Turkish Cypriot leader Mehmet Ali Talat signaled he may not run for office in 2010 if a settlement is not reached with Greek Cypriots by year-end.

Talat told the daily Sabah on Saturday he was unhappy with the pace of Cyprus negotiations. "If there's no hope for a resolution by year-end, I will have completed my mission," Talat said, signaling he wouldn't run in Turkish Cypriot elections next year.
